Everything has landed perfectly from the last couple rainstorms and the rivers are in great shape. Another spring with big numbers of fish and it should only get better as it warms up. I have some late March and April dates still available before switching over to Lake Michigan. Fall king dates are filling fast as well with only a handful remaining.

So with the rivers in full lockup mode the past 2-3 weeks, we got a chance to do some harbor fishing thru the ice. Some in Michigan and some in Wisconsin. It’s a good time to break up the season in the boat. Here’s a few pics of the last couple trips. Time to get the boat back out this week as the rivers are opening.

Seems like we are going to have an old school Michigan winter for the first time in forever. The west side of the state has been hammered with snow the past few days and the cold has set in. Fortunately plenty have fish have made it up most of the river systems and the fishing has been great. Here’s Billy with some of the fish he pulled in a recent trip.

Sadly wrapped up king season last week. I already miss them, but there are plenty of steelhead around to keep busy. We had decent flow levels for a few days, but now the water is back down to drought levels. The fish are very concentrated in certain areas if you know where to look. Bring on the November rain!!!

Even thru this mid summer weather the fishing remains good. Record low rivers seem to have things lagging so the fish are hanging around lower in the river systems for this time of year. Should have a couple more good weeks of fishing kings before switching to steelhead. Let’s hope for some cold and rain to ramp it up!!

The fishing has been on fire the last week. Most days in early with 2 and 3 person limits. It’s just getting good in some of the southern rivers and harbors so I would expect it to keep rocking thru mid October this year.

Trying to keep up a little better on the reports. The fishing is still great. Weather is warming up, but not for long. We could use a north blow for a few days to get another fresh batch in the hopper. Looks like that’s coming next week.

King season started off just like it did last year…red hot. The numbers of returning kings are well above average with the cooler then normal weather. It’s been some easy fishing so far. Here are a few pics from some recent trips.

The fishing still remains red hot and no sign of slowing. The weather has been perfect for prolonging the peak of the season so far. Here are some pics from some of the fish we got the last few outings.
