Fishing Reports

Finally some nice weather has hit and the shelf ice for 2025 is gone. The fishing is outstanding right now with new fish and some holdovers. I’ve been bouncing around on a few different rivers and they are all consistently good. Here’s a few pics from a drift down a smaller west Michigan river today.

A little spike in water temp is all it took to get the fish going again. The water is in prime condition and the fishing is following suit. Todd put right around 30 in the boat on his trip. I still have openings. Come holler.

Took a couple days of over 32 degree weather but most of the ice is off the rivers now and it’s game on for steelhead. A good mix of smaller and adult size fish running around and they are on the feed. Here is Dylan and crew with a handful of their bigger fish from today

After a few weeks of bitter cold, we got a break in the weather and the rivers have opened up from the ice cover. The fishing remains really good with new fish and some holdovers in the systems. I will start running trips after next week so get with me to get out.

What a crazy fall for steelhead. It’s been probably the best I’ve ever seen it. There is lots of fish, and up until now, the weather has been great. I still have plenty of openings thru winter and spring. There are plenty of fish in the system to sustain great fishing until we get another big batch when the spring thaw hits. Finished off king season with a bang as the last couple days ended up being great fishing. Thanks to everybody that came out as I didn’t put many pics up of our excursions, but you are much appreciated. On to some chrome acrobatic steelhead. I have openings this fall thru spring to get out so don’t hesitate to call if you are interested.

While some rivers are struggling, others are on fire!! The big fish showed up and aren’t going anywhere too soon. Here are a few pics of Brian, Jack, and Jason’s fish they managed to get to the net before the fish got to the wood.

King fishing remains on fire even in this heat wave. It’s been short trips the last few days with limits coming early and often…even in the afternoons. I have a few afternoon dates available, but several fall steelhead days up for grabs after mid October. Here are a few pics the last couple days.
